Peter
H. Leiman
Peter H. Leiman is a co-founder of Blink
and has been a Managing Director since
its inception.
Peter’s multi-faceted background includes
finance, aviation, and government. As a
mergers and acquisitions investment banker
at UBS Warburg in London, Peter advised
FTSE 100, Fortune 500, and an array of other
international companies on their financial
and operational strategies. In 2003, Peter
led a team involved in the start up of an
Asian low-cost airline developing the strategic
and operational business plans. He also
worked at The White House on President’s
Clinton’s advance staff in 2000 and
at the US Embassy in Paris in 1999. Most
recently, Peter was a principal investor
with 717 Partners, an investment firm in
New York City led by the former Vice Chairman
of Goldman Sachs.
He received a B.S. in International Political
Economy, cum laude, from the Georgetown
University School of Foreign Service and
an MBA degree from the Harvard Business
School.
Cameron
Ogden
Cameron Ogden is a co-founder of Blink
and has been a Managing Director since
its inception.
Cameron has worked in a number of different
roles within finance as well as the charitable
sector. He worked in the Investment Banking
Division focusing on the UK market at
Goldman Sachs in London. After working
at Goldman Sachs Cameron was part of start-up
‘venture philanthropy’ company
called SHINE, set up by Goldman Sachs
and Tudor partners. Cameron has also worked
for HSBC in the corporate Finance Division
in 1999. Most recently, Cameron worked
for Bridges Ventures, a venture capital
firm in London led by Sir Ronald Cohen.
He received an MA in Economics from Edinburgh
University and MBA degree from the Harvard
Business School.
He is a Trustee of the Ogden Trust and
on the Advisory Board for Lumina Real
Estate Capital.
Douglas
Gass
Douglas Gass joined in January
2008, prior to the commencement of Flight
Operations.
Prior to joining Blink, Douglas was British
Airways' most senior Training Captain.
Douglas joined BEA in the early 1970s
after graduating from The College of Air
Training at Hamble. After the formation
of British Airways in 1974, he continued
his career flying the Hawker Siddeley
Trident and the Lockheed Tristar, on domestic,
european and worldwide routes. He gained
his first command during 1989 on the McDonnell
Douglas DC-10, operating from London Gatwick.
His final ten years with BA were as Senior
Captain on the 747-400 fleet, based at
London Heathrow.
Soon after his promotion to Captain, Douglas
commenced a long and successful career
in Flight Training, becoming a CAA Instrument
Rating Examiner in 1990. He has been involved
in all forms of route checking, training
both technical and non technical skills
and in the examination of pilots, for
British Airways and other international
airlines.
It is this expertise, experience and personal
qualities that Douglas brings to aircrew
selection, development and to Flight Operations
at Blink.
Warren
Hazelby
Warren joined Blink from British Airways
where he was Head of Air Safety for the
whole fleet. Prior to this he was Flight
Technical Manager for Concorde including
being Operating Flight Engineer on the
final Concorde flight in November 2003.
He joined BOAC in August 1967 as a ground
engineer. After working in various locations,
including the island of Mauritius, Warren
was selected for training as a Flight
Engineer.
Since then, he has flown thousands of
hours on Boeing 707 & 720 aircraft,
Lockheed Tristar L1011, Boeing 747 and
Concorde.
During his time with British Airways,
Warren also undertook numerous management
roles, initially on the Tristar aircraft,
before moving to become the Flight Engineer
Manager at London’s Gatwick Airport
in 1990. In 1993 he then became British
Airways Chief Flight Engineer responsible
for over 600 Flight Engineers. Subsequently
he became Flight Manager Concorde responsible
for the technical operation of Concorde
and management of the Pilots and Flight
Engineers on the fleet.
Redvers
Blake
Since his first flight 40 years ago Red
has flown 18,000 hrs combined aircraft
and simulator time with over 10,000 hrs
Command.
Red is as a licensed CAA Instructor and
Examiner for initial and revalidation
of ATPL ratings, and has been working
in this capacity both privately and for
prestigious international airlines as
a Training Consultant.
Red gained a PPL at 17 after winning an
RAF Special Flying Award. A preference
for commercial aviation took him to Hamble
and BOAC in 1971. In 1973 a move to BEA
gave intensive operating experience in
the busy European environment on the Hawker
Siddeley Trident and BAC 111.
Subsequently he took a British Airways
Command and Training position followed
on the Boeing 757 and 767 in 1990 flying
two engine long-haul charter flights.
Training appointments continued on the
Boeing 747 and 777 - he was a Base Training
Captain on both aircraft. On the 777, he
was the most senior training captain.
Graham
Howard
Graham has over 36 years of extensive
experience in the aviation industry, amassing
over 16,000 hours of aircraft and simulator
time.
Prior to joining Blink, Graham has worked
on a consultancy basis for various high
profile international airlines, providing
simulator training and checking of pilots.
In 2005, Graham retired from British Airways
following 34 years of service on airplanes
including the Boeing 707, 737, 747, 757,
767 and finishing as a senior training
captain on the world's largest twin jet,
the 777.
He gained his first command in 1988 whilst
operating on the Lockheed Tristar, following
his first training appointment on the
BAC 1-11 in 1987. Graham started his career
in 1971 with BOAC after graduating from
The College of Air Training at Hamble.
