CNBC Life: The World of Private Jets features Blink
Blink was featured in a segment on CNBC Life which was produced by The Luxury Channel. The video highlights recent developments in private aviation, including the launch of Blink, and covers EBACE 2009 in Geneva.
The video report starts with an introduction into the top-of-the-line jets, showcasing some of large corporate VIP airliners being produced by Airbus, and then covers Blink when discussing some of the new developments in the industry and how business travellers are using private aviation to be more efficient.
Peter Leiman from Blink is interviewed. You can also see a quick glimpse of a Blink jet as the video shows the jets on display at EBACE.

Peter’s comments are a bit truncated in the segment. His remark about introducing a sub-fleet of jets like the Cessna Mustang, the Blink jet, is in reference to a study he and Cameron Ogden conducted for Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has the largest corporate fleet of jets in the world. Peter and Cameron found that Wal-Mart could achieve significant cost savings and productivity gains by introducing the Mustang and similar aircraft into their fleet.
Additionally, the analysis demonstrated that Wal-Mart could expand the number of employees who could travel on the aircraft and save Wal-Mart money. If a company like Wal-Mart who is renowned and revered for its low cost approach to business can benefit from business jets, then other companies must be able to extract these same benefits. This insight demonstrated that companies in Europe who need to move employees between locations could benefit from a low-cost jet service such as Blink.
