Warren Hazelby
Air Safety Consultant
Warren brings a wealth of Air Safety and Engineering experience and knowledge to Blink as a consultant. He was previously at British Airways where he was most recently Head of Air Safety for the entire fleet. Prior to that role he was Flight Technical Manager for Concorde including being Operating Flight Engineer on the final Concorde flight in November 2003.
Warren started his aviation career at BOAC in August 1967 as a ground engineer. After working in various locations, including the island of Mauritius, Warren was selected for training as a Flight Engineer. Since then, he has flown thousands of hours on Boeing 707 & 720, Lockheed Tristar L1011, Boeing 747 and Concorde.
During his time with British Airways, Warren also undertook numerous management roles, initially on the Tristar aircraft, before moving to become the Flight Engineer Manager at London’s Gatwick Airport in 1990. In 1993 he then became British Airways Chief Flight Engineer responsible for over 600 Flight Engineers. Subsequently he became Flight Manager Concorde responsible for the technical operation of Concorde and management of the Pilots and Flight Engineers on the fleet.
